Since 2005, the Institute for Foreign Relations (ifa) has offered professionals and volunteers the opportunity to build intercultural competencies through work-related stays via its CrossCulture Programme (CCP).

This programme strengthens civil-society relations between Germany and the world in a sustainable manner.
For 2026, ifa is once again offering fellowships to engaged individuals from over 40 partner countries. The programme targets individuals from the fields of politics and society, human rights and peace, media and culture, as well as sustainable development and climate justice.

For 2026, the additional focus topics are democratic resilience and the culture of remembrance.
